VersaLogic Introduces Extended Temperature RoHS-Compliant  Embedded Computer

VersaLogic Corp. today announced a new extended temperature version of their popular "Python" single board computer. The extended temperature Python board features high reliability design, low power draw (less than 5W), and a robust complement of on-board I/O options. Like other Python boards, this Python version includes VersaLogic's new SPX(TM) expansion interface that allows users to easily add a wide-range of low-cost I/O options to the system.

VersaLogic Offers Linux Quick-start Package for the Python Single Board Computer

VersaLogic Corp. today announced the release of a Linux quick-start Board Support Package (BSP) for their AMD LX 800-based EBX board, the Python. The new BSP allows developers to configure their systems quickly and develop applications in a shorter time frame. The package is based on the popular Debian Linux OS, which has been configured for easy installation and support of the Python's hardware features. With the new BSP install CD, hardware setup is streamlined by eliminating the need for OS configuration and driver installation by the system developer.
